THE TRINITY (PART 2) // Matthew 3:13-17

This is the second part to of our study of the Trinity. Specifically, we will look at the concept of God as eternal Father, and what that means for us as believers. In addition, we will consider several ways that God being an eternal three-in-one God ought to shape our fundamental beliefs about creation.

THE TRINITY (PART 1) // Matthew 3:13-17

Today we begin a two-part study in the Trinity. As we look through Jesus’s baptism in Matthew 3:13-17, we will first look at why Jesus would need to be baptized, and then we will delve into the wonder of the Trinity. Is a Triune God necessary for our faith? Can we be Christians and not believe that God is three and yet one?

WHAT IS REPENTANCE? (PT 2) // Matthew 3:7-12

Sometimes you can get a good idea of how to live by looking at an extremely poor example. Today, we are going to look at how the religious elite of Jesus’s day give us a great example of what not to do, as well as see how our life of repentance must be one that bears Holy Spirit fruit in our lives.

WHAT IS REPENTANCE (PART 1) // Matthew 3:1-6

Repentance is a word that has been given negative connotations. However, it’s a word that was used by Jesus and the Apostles, so obviously it can’t be bad. Today, as we look at Matthew 3:1-6, we are going to look at how repentance is actually at the heart of what true greatness really is.

THE GOD WHO WILL SEE TO IT // Matthew 2:13-23

We continue through the Gospel of Matthew 2:13-23. Today we are looking at three separate prophetic fulfillments of Jesus and see how God is a God who will see to His purposes despite all odds. We will be challenged to see that the God who sees to all things will take care of us as well.

THE ONLY RIGHT RESPONSE // Matthew 2:1-12

We all react differently to the word “authority.” Some see it as a good and necessary thing, and yet others have suffered terrible and traumatic experiences. As we study Matthew 2:1-12, we are going to see how King Jesus is the ultimate authority, and we will look at the different ways that humanity has responded to Him!

JESUS: GOD AND MAN // Matthew 1:18-25

Is the Virgin Birth important? Is the Virgin Birth necessary? Today, as we look at Matthew 1:18-25, we are going to look at Matthew’s brief account of Jesus’s birth story and address the importance and necessity of the Virgin Birth for our salvation.

THE HISTORY OF HOPE // Matthew 1:1-17

This week, we begin a new series on the Gospel of Matthew called “The King and His Kingdom.” Today, we will introduce the Gospel of Matthew, discussing Jesus’s lineage and why that is important for His claim as the promised One who would come and establish His “forever kingdom.”

THE IDEAL CHURCH // Acts 2:42-47

What should a Christian’s church experience be like? That’s the question today, as we dive into “The Ideal Church Passage,” Acts 2:42-47. We will see that a dynamic Church life only occurs when a church collectively embraces practicing the Christian life, getting in proximity together, and becoming purposeful in their relationships.

WHAT IS A DISCIPLE?

Our culture can define “believing in Jesus” as simply affirming a set of facts. However, what does Jesus require of His people? In other words, what exactly does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? What is required of us as believers, and what are we trying to achieve in reaching a lost world?
