What defines the true purpose of a local church? Today we are looking at the last Mark of Refuge - We prioritize gathering in Christ to GROWGO. What exactly does GROWGO mean, and why should it matter to Christians today? We will look at Hebrews 10:24-25 and Colossians 1:28 to see how God has called His church to build up one another toward love and good works

Posture is important in everyday life; what if spiritual posture mattered in an even greater way? Today we look at Refuge’s second mark of church life: “We posture ourselves to be poured out before God.” We will see how the posture of surrender and anticipation will lead to a collective pouring out of our hearts in prayer, praise, and service to God.

We are taking a break from our study in Matthew to focus on the three marks of Refuge Church. Our first mark is “We pursue Scripture as God’s clear voice to us right now.” We believe that the Bible guides our lives and shapes our faith. How often do you pause to hear what God is saying through His Word?

As we close out the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7, we look at Jesus’s famous teaching on the builders who built on the rock and on the sand. Both hear the teachings of Christ, but only one acts on them, building on the solid foundation. What foundation are you building on—one that lasts or one destined to fall?

What does it truly mean to follow Jesus? Today, as we explore one of Jesus’s hardest statements in Matthew 7:21-23, we will see that those who belong to God’s kingdom possess more than right beliefs, fervent passion, and remarkable works. Are we truly living in alignment with God's will, or simply convincing ourselves that we are?

How can you discern the truth in a world filled with conflicting voices? Today we explore Jesus’ powerful warning from Matthew 7:15-20 about false prophets who appear trustworthy but produce destructive outcomes. We will uncover practical ways to guard against deception, recognize genuine spiritual fruit, and stay anchored in truth.

Life is full of paths, but not all lead to life. Today we are in Matthew 7:13-14, where Jesus challenges us to consider the narrow gate and difficult road that lead to eternal life. Why is the broad path so alluring, and what makes the narrow path worth the cost? We will explore the call to be followers, not fans, and the joy of walking a road less traveled but filled with Christ’s abundant life.

Today we dive into Matthew 7:7-12 and explore what Jesus truly meant when He said, 'Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.' Far from a carte blanche for selfish desires, these verses challenge us to cultivate godly expectation: servant-hearted, persistent, and confident. As you listen, consider this: What would change in your life if your prayers were focused on becoming the person God calls you to be?"

“Do not judge” is an anthem of our current culture. What happens to our judgment when we don’t see situations, people, or even God Himself clearly? As we look at Matthew 7:1-6, we’ll explore what it means to have a life shaped by God’s truth and grace, while also discerning how to share the good news of Jesus with wisdom.

Anxiety and ambition often collide in our hearts, leaving us divided and distracted. Today we dive into Matthew 6:25-34 to uncover Jesus' transformative wisdom for living a life free from worry. How might your daily ambitions change if you trusted fully in God's provision and prioritized His kingdom above all?
